Personalized Coaching for your Apple Devices

Lantern Light Learning’s philosophy is simple: “Personalized Coaching to help older adults get the most out of their Apple® Devices.” Personalized mentoring can increase your confidence with technology, enable you to improve your productivity, and keep you connected with family and friends at a relaxed and individual pace.

Mentoring sessions are typically 1 - 3 hours long (in 1 hour increments) and are catered to your needs.

While Lantern Light Learning offers mentoring to anyone, the senior community receives a substantial discount off of the regular hourly rate. This rate is significantly lower than going rates for this type of consulting.

Example Mentoring Topics:

  • Taking great photos, organizing, and sharing them with family and friends

  • Understanding iCloud

  • Getting the most out of your Apple® Watch

  • Document creation and sharing

  • Taking videos and simple editing

  • Understanding social media

  • Accessibility and Apple® devices (hearing & vision assistance, etc.)

  • Understanding and getting the most out of Siri

  • How to utilize QR codes

  • Understanding HomePod and speakers

One important point to remember when it comes to mentoring: No topic is too small to consider.

We don’t charge for travel or even time we spend just getting to know you - like hearing about your family and pets. An important part of the Lantern Light business is getting to know each one of you!

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) — Lantern Light Learning, a local business founded by Apple Technology Coach David McKee, is helping older adults navigate technology with personalized coaching sessions.

The business focuses on providing tailored sessions that cater to each individual’s pace and interests, making technology more accessible for seniors.

“Building that connection is just as important as teaching the technology,” McKee says, emphasizing the importance of understanding clients’ personal stories.

Lantern Light Learning offers sessions that cover a wide range of topics, from taking and sharing photos to understanding iCloud and using Apple Watches. The sessions are designed to increase confidence and productivity, helping clients use technology as a bridge to connect with friends and family. McKee offers substantial discounts to older adults, making these personalized sessions more affordable than typical tech consulting services. Unlike many other services, McKee does not charge for travel or the time spent getting to know his clients, which helps build a more personalized experience. Sessions are booked in one-hour increments and typically last between one and three hours, allowing for in-depth learning tailored to each client’s needs.

For older adults looking to enhance their technology skills, Lantern Light Learning provides a supportive and personalized approach to mastering Apple devices.
